Contract Administration

In the role of Contract Administrator, the Architects employed by Sustainable  act as a neutral party, to ensure that the terms and conditions of the contract are met, by both parties (Owner & Builder).

Contract Administration,  is the term for the process used to ensure Owners and Builders carry out their respective obligations under their contract.

Another person can be used to oversee these activities . This person might be a representative of one of the parties-perhaps a project manager of the Builder, or an agent of the Owner.

There are benefits to both Owner and Builder if the "Administrator" is a neutral person having the training and experience to deal with contractual, technical and perhaps costing matters.

The Certifier will issue a certificate for payment to verify the accuracy of the claim, or make whatever adjustments necessary so that over-payment (or under-payment) does not occur.

Standards of workmanship, extensions of time and costs of variations can also be dealt with in a similar way.
